Slurp for a Cause! …and support the Door County YMCA’s 2013 Strong Kids Campaign at the Annual Y Soup sale.
A plethora of soups made and donated by local eateries and by Door County YMCA staffers, board members and volunteers will be available for dinning in or for carry-out at the Y’s Slurp for a Cause! Enjoy this smorgasbord of soups at the Sturgeon Bay Y on Wednesday, March 20 from 3 pm until sold out and at the Northern Door Y in Fish Creek on Monday, March 25 from 8 am until the soup is gone.
Soup selection will include: lobster bisque, chowder, tortilla, beer cheese, dumpling, German saurkraut, vegetable barley, minestrone, beef barley, and much more! Gourmet desserts and “Build Your Own Soup” gifts will also be available for purchase.
Diners may choose to dine-in or purchase soup for carry-out. Soup for dine-in may be purchased for $4 per bowl or $6 for all-you-can-eat. Takeouts will be $5 for 16 ounces and $9 for 32 ounces. Cookies, other desserts and water will also be available for $1 each.
All proceeds from Slurp for a Cause! will benefit the 2013 Strong Kids Campaign which supports healthy living for “strong kids” of all ages in Door County through subsidized membership (up to 90% off monthly fees), as well as assistance to participate in programs like LiveStrong Cancer recovery, Parkinson’s Exercise and Swim lessons.
