Two Bite Door Co. Pizza Review | Fatzo’s vs Hidden Bridge vs Cherry Lanes

Two dudes on a mission to end The Great Pizza War

Door County has no shortage of pizza joints, taverns, arcade bars, and hidden gems. So Jack and Eli decided to settle the debate one slice at a time.

The rules are simple:

  • Order cheese pizza
  • Take two bites
  • Rate it honestly
  • Continue the mission to discover the best pizza in Door County

This week’s stops included Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar, Fatzo’s Subs, and Hidden Bridge.

🍕 Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar

Walking into Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar, it’s easy to get distracted before you even order food. Classic arcade games, bowling lanes, and retro vibes make you feel like a kid again.

Eventually, though, pizza becomes the mission.

Cherry Lanes offers a 16-inch pizza menu priced by style:

  • Cheese – $20
  • Sausage – $23
  • Pepperoni – $23
  • Supreme – $26

Naturally, we ordered cheese.

About 20 minutes later, the pizza arrived, and our first reaction was simple: a 16-inch pizza is a lot of pizza for two guys.

The crust was soft and doughy, which worked well, but the cheese-to-sauce ratio felt off. There was a heavy layer of cheese and not enough sauce underneath to balance it out.

Still, it’s a solid pizza overall, especially if you’re already hanging out at the arcade or bowling with friends.

Final Verdict

A fun atmosphere with a decent pie that’s worth trying if you’re at Cherry Lanes.

SCORE: 6.4 / 10

🍕 Fatzo’s Subs

At the top of the hill on Madison Avenue sits Fatzo’s Subs, a small and quiet sub shop that completely surprised us.

Honestly, they may need to rename the place Fatzo’s Pizza.

Our expectations were blown away.

We ordered the 12-inch cheese pizza for $11.95, which immediately felt like a great value.

Right out of the box, the appearance was impressive. The cheese had that beautiful browned checkering that tells you it was cooked perfectly. Unlike some of the other pizzas we’ve tried, you could actually see the sauce peeking out beneath the cheese.

The crust was sturdy enough to hold itself together without folding like a taco, and the underside was seasoned with garlic that came through on every bite.

Usually, we take two bites and score the pizza.

This time, we accidentally ate the whole first slice before we remembered we were reviewing it.

That probably says everything you need to know.

Final Verdict

If you’re in Sturgeon Bay and craving pizza, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

SCORE: 7.55 / 10

🍕 Hidden Bridge

Located south of Sturgeon Bay on County S, Hidden Bridge doesn’t look flashy from the outside, but don’t let that fool you.

This place stays packed.

The atmosphere might actually be the best we’ve experienced so far. The crowd, the conversations, and the welcoming energy make it feel more like a community gathering spot than just another restaurant.

While we were there, friends joined us at the table, and before long other customers were asking what we were doing. Once we explained the pizza review mission, people loved the idea so much we even handed out a slice.

That’s Door County.

The pizza itself was different right away. Square slices instead of triangles, plenty of grease on top, and a very crunchy crust that many pizza lovers will appreciate.

This review created our first real disagreement.

Jack thought the pizza lacked strong flavor overall, while Eli felt the sauce and cheese combination worked really well together.

The owner later came over to talk with us and was excited that we stopped in to review the place. And while we came for pizza, we were repeatedly told not to miss the fish fry.

Final Verdict

Great atmosphere, friendly people, and a pizza experience that depends on what style you prefer.

SCORE: 6.8 / 10
