Kicking off our week just 5 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay in the small town of Valmy, we were eager to try the local pizza. The place was bustling on a Sunday afternoon, creating a lively atmosphere.

After settling in, we ordered our go-to cheese pizza. When it arrived, the colors of the cheese were cooked to perfection, with the sauce peeking out from beneath the cheese—exactly what we look for.

Upon our first bite, we were pleased to find the sauce was perfectly balanced, and the crust was both soft and crispy. While enjoying our pizza, we chatted with friendly neighbors who raved about the happy hour pizza, and we couldn’t agree more.

🍕 Elmo’s Pizza

Located on 4th Avenue in the heart of Sturgeon Bay, Elmo’s Pizza is known for its wood-fired offerings, so we had to make a stop. Our wonderful waitress, Willa, greeted us and helped us select our cheese pizza while engaging us in conversation.

The presentation was top-notch compared to previous pizzas we had tried. The crust was bubbling, and the cheese had a beautiful color. As we took our two bites, we were blown away by the quality of the cheese and the excellent crust. Jack even declared it the best pizza sauce we had tasted so far.
